On the other hand, she is much more manipulative and cunning than Luke, and also just outright screams when she doesn't get her way. I means screams. As loud as she can. We don't have a lot of these episodes while we're out, I try to nip them in the bud right away, but she does it all the time at home. She typically initiates trouble with Luke and he takes it for a while before telling her to stop. After telling her to stop whatever it is maybe 6 times, he'll finally retaliate and then she comes to me crying. And getting dressed every morning is a huge ordeal. I'm not sure why. But every day she cries and screams and falls to the ground and will not get dressed willingly or easily. And wile her hair is so precious and curly, it gets very tangled and she also hates (HATES!) having her hair done each morning. Poor girl has even started to dislike bath time because I use a Wet Brush comb through her hair with a leave-in conditioner.
In order to channel some of her energy, she recently started both ballet and gymnastics. She has a propensity to be good due to her natural strength, flexibility and fight. So far, she loves both.
Lacey's 3.5 year stats: 3_ inches, 32 lbs., wears size 3T clothes, size 8.5 - 9 shoe. Hair is blonde and very curly. Eyes are brown.
Some other things Lacey loves:
- Cuddling/Snuggling. Still wants to be held all the time.
- More foods than her brother. Is a decent eater, though has fallen subject to some of his poor influence
- Her blankies.
- Saying, "Mommy will do it!" or "I want Mommy!" and refusing anyone else's help. This is in reference to everything: getting buckled/unbuckled in her carseat, being wiped after going potty, getting her dressed, or a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g.
- Her brother, and as already stated, bothering her brother. She does love him, though, and will run up to him after school and give him hugs. Miss Christy, the school principal, told me that when she walks in for Chapel, she finds Luke and yells to him, "hi, Lukey!"
- People playing with her.
- The Disney princesses.
- Swinging.
- Reading.
- Singing with Daddy.
- Arts & Crafts, almost any kinds!
Some things Lacey doesn't like:
- Cleaning up her messes
- Going to Bible class. She never had separation anxiety as a younger child, but it's been pretty bad at 3. Daddy takes her to school each day and school separation anxiety has improved quite a bit, but Bible class seems to have gotten worse.
A few pictures of our girl:
First ballet class!
Clearly already a prodigy. ;)
Using glitter glue, one of her favorites!
Ice cream with Mommy, another favorite!
Such a big girl at the dentist back in December.
Rock Star Lacey at CMOM.
CMOM fun with Brother.
This pic is horrible quality, but it shows her adorable, tiny little body while playing at the CMOM firetruck.
We were lucky enough to avoid the flu this year, but both kids did end up with some kind of 48 hour bug. :(
One of the reasons she likes going to the mall with me--play time!
God has big things in store for you, Little Girl!!
