We just got back from spending a week in Hood River, Oregon.
(This is a view of driving toward Mt. Hood)

Sarah's grandparents (and other family members) have 6,500 acres of orchards of pears, apples, and cherries. The whole valley is full of green orchards during the summer. Hood River is also the best place in the world for wind surfing, because of the wind that blows through the Columbia Gorge on the Columbia river.

We had a wonderful time and got some much needed rest. We will be posting several different posts over the next week as we gather pictures. Family, Windsurfing, fireworks, mentos and diet coke (you'll see).

Sounds like you all had a great time in Oregon. Tim and Joe are really jealous about the wind surfing! We had a great home group meeting here tonight, but we missed Leslie. she's beng Nana in Montgomery.
Love ya'll!
