A change of plans meant that we would be home alone this Easter rather than up with my mom as originally planned. Allen had to participate in a couple Songfest receptions and didn't realize it was the same weekend. So we found ourselves without a plan. Turns out that the Johnsons and Charles would also be around without family this year and we turned the day into one big party. After church we went over to the Johnson home where Jeremy has smoked a ham and Amber had made some yummy deviled eggs and sweet tea. Katie and I brought some side dishes and we ate a great meal.
After a quick sunday afternoon rest, we took advantage of the beautiful area in which we live and went for a 2.5 mile hike in the Santa Monica mountains. This is truly the most beautiful time of the year here in So Cal and we captured some of that in a couple pictures below. How blessed we are to live here and finally, 4 years after moving here, I can say I really enjoy my home.
