Winter Fun!

We spent this past week in Tahoe and it was amazing!

We left on Sunday afternoon following the memorial service for Chris Sangster when our friends, Nick and Kari, picked us up to head north. We stayed the night at my mom's house in P-town and took off Monday to head to Tahoe. We got this great stay/ski deal at Harvey's casino in South Lake Tahoe where we stayed 4 nights, got 2 lift tickets a day and $75 to spend at one of their fancy restaurants all for one great package price. We skiied 2 days at Heavenly and one at NorthStar. While Heavenly has the beautiful view of Lake Tahoe, we all agreed that NorthStar was our favorite day.

I think we both fully expected to be easily up to skiing for days in a row since we both work out on a regular basis. I have since decided that there must be leg muscles that only get used when skiing because there were points when I absolutely thought they would fall off and I would roll the rest of the way down the mountain!

Disneyland with friends

Last Friday, Sarah and I took a day off, along with 6 of our friends, and headed to Disneyland for the day. But this trip was different than other trips. This time, Sarah and I became Annual Passholders! We can't go on weekends or the summer time, but those are all the times we don't like going anyway.
We had a great time and having friends there with us helped keep our energy up into the night. Sarah was a trooper staying until 10:30 at night!
We got to ride all of the major rides and got a great pic from Splash Mountain. And of course we had our mochas, churro,and Dole Whip.
Typically Sarah and I go by ourselves (and the rare trip with visiting family), so it was fun having friends to share some of our traditions and favorites. We'll try to post some pics when we get ahold of them.
